Message from the Chief

I want to thank all the members of the Board ,staff, and residents here at Useppa

Island for the opportunity to serve as your Fire Chief. I am a long time resident of South West Florida, moving to Lee County in 1987. I have familiarized myself with the areas and waters here for over the past 3 decades. I started the fire service in 1990 and completed a 32 year career in Lee County as a Chief Fire Officer/Paramedic. During this time I achieved an Associates in Fire Science, a Bachelors in Business Administration, and  Masters in Public Administration. For the past ten years to current, I lead the Lee County Marine Emergency Response Team (MERT),  keeping me in close relations with Lee County Fire Chiefs Association. As liaison between Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, Aviation, Coast Guard, Dispatch, WCIND, and Tow, I bring much needed knowledge to the operations of barrier island logistics and living. 

I will do my best ensuring fire safety, medical response/transport, and public relations to all we serve here at Useppa.
